Cryotherapy Care

Care instructions for cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen)

  • After cryotherapy, it is normal for the area to sting and/or itch for several hours
  • You may experience blistering, which is normal.  If the blister becomes bothersome, you may sterilize a needle over an open flame and puncture the blister to drain the fluid.  Do not pick off the top of the blister
  • The treated area will crust and scab over the next several days. Cleanse the area with mild soap and water.  Do not scrub.
  • You may use Vaseline on the crusted area, which will speed healing time.
  • The total healing time may take 1-2 weeks.
